The main premise of the game is to be dealt cards adding up to 21. Every gambler is handed 2 cards. When a black jack player is handed a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they have been dealt a soft hand. When the player receives no Ace it is called as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been given to all players at the table, which includes the dealer, each blackjack player is given the chance to make one of six actions:

Taking another card (Hit): When a gambler says "hit" the dealer will give him another card, if the adding of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the black jack player will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card makes the total to twenty one the black jack player wins and if the value of the hand has not yet reached twenty one they’re still in the game.

Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is happy with the cards they’ll hold. Once this has happened the croupier will display his or her hand and the gambler who has gotten 21 or the closet to twenty-one will acquire a win.

Doubling Down: A blackjack player might ask to double down which doubles the bet they have made. As soon as you’ve taken this action you can only be given one more card. The specifics of doubling down are usually specified by the table or betting house rules so before playing make sure you’re familiar with the casino established rules. If you are betting at a web-based casino this is normally quite easy.

Stay tuned for part two.
